To embolden underprivileged youths with opportunities in education and sports that would otherwise be out of reach. To provide those who are privileged the opportunity to grow through giving that would otherwise be out of reach. The growth in giving is for both the receiver and the giver.
We often think that the one receiving a donation is the only one benefitting but the "Growth in Giving" doesn't stop there.
We are hardwired to work together. To ask ourselves, "How can I help?"
The answer to that question will guide you into how best to make a difference. No gift that you have or desire to help will be wasted.

Currently, we focus our time and energy to uplifting local youths' lives in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua to provide opportunity that would have been out of reach without the gifts given.

Through almost 20 years of living and raising children in Nicaragua. Vanessa Pattison, co-founder of "Growth In Giving" has connected deeply to the youth of her community in San Juan del Sur.
Having three boys, all born in Nicaragua, Vanessa, became painfully aware of how many opportunities her kids had that their friends did not. She had a hard time reconciling her families abundance and ease while watching other families struggle just for the basics. This sparked in her a willingness to get out there and do something, however small to shift that paradigm at least for a few kids.
Vanessa has been grass roots fundraising for most of the last two decades. She raises money for sports equipment, sport teams, shcool supplies, school tuitiions and so much more. Currently, she has crowd fundraised enough money each year to send 14 kids to a bilingual shcool in San Juan del Sur.
Vanessa's close friend, Stephanie Bennett, came for a visit and connected deeply to Vanessa's mission and felt that her skills could compliment and elevate Vanessa's efforts. They decided over dinner during that visit that they shared a passion to be part of elevating the lives of youths and that is how "Growth In Giving" evolved into an official nonprofit currently focused on helping the children of San Juan del Sur expand their opportunities.
Stephanie Bennett, co-founder of "Growth In Giving", is avid beliver that the only neutralizing thing for our world is equalizing educational opportunities for all children. We don't know how many kids are being by-passed because they are just not getting the opportunity to particpate fully. Stephanie lives in Oregon and has been raising her own son for 18 years and witnessing the difference and inequity in education first hand with those who have and those who have not. She has volunteered in her community, son's schools and served on various boards and helped create a team club non-profit.
On her first trip to Nicaragua bringing her 18-month-old son, she fell in love with the community and kids. She loved how the children were so kind and caring for her son and geniunely eager to help and learn.
Almost, eighteen years later and loss of a spouse she needed to direct her energy into something that would give back and benefit more people. Instead of always getting angry at the problem why not do something about it. Stephanie saw what Vanessa was accomplishing with no real infrastructure and saw what it could become with just a little admin. She took her organizational and system building skillls to help create "Growth In Giving" into an officail non-profit that could generate more opportunity and aide more children with greater dreams.
Growth In Giving is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Donations will be used to aide San Juan del Sur youths with educational and/or sporting opportunities. Please consider giving a little extra to cover bank fees.
